A new pamphlet from the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs and the University of Idaho offers demographic tidbits about the Gem State’s Hispanic residents. Among them:
70: Percentage of Idaho's Hispanic residents born in the U.S. Many families have lived here for generations.
1/3: Proportion born abroad who moved to the U.S. in the past 10 years. A third came in the 1990s, and a third before 1990.
25: Percentage of Idaho's population growth from 2000 to 2009 attributed to Hispanics.
